Extended, yes, but its mostly refined. No need for deep serrations, the geometry of the thumb/stop interface has a deep shelf that not only looks great but is very effective and tactile.
This Slide Stop is machined from solid Chromoly Steel for ultimate durability. Surface treatment in  either Black Nitride, or NP3 Nickel plating.
